Program – John Maguire, Chairman of the Macomb Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Development Corp. Board. It is the Board's responsibility to promote business development in Macomb. They do this by supporting each other and lobbying governmental units on being pro business, but also the community. At the last election, the Chamber supported the sales tax increase for road improvements. They are also consulted on zoning issues.  They recently sponsored a seminar for business to use E-Bay to increase sales.  They are very good on networking and information sharing.  The groups combined in March 2004.  They have 4 functioning committees: 1) Governmental Affairs; 2) Transportation; 3) Retail Development; 4) Membership Recruitment & Fund Raising.

Joanna Graham and her son Zach on how to use the iPad in the classroom for visually impaired.  There are currently 5 visually impaired students in the Macomb School District who could benefit from these.  They have purchased the iPad for Zach and would like the club to  consider purchasing 4 more for the other students.  They would belong to the student and not the school district.  Cost of an iPad 2 is about $500.  Each child’s family would contribute $100.

Lion Culver moved and Lion Inman 2nd that this be moved to the Board for consideration.  Motion passed.
